Ashtanga Yoga is also known as Raj Yoga, which is used for all round development of human personality.Raja Yoga is eight fold path, taking us step by step to our goal of self-realisation. It suggests that believe nothing until you experience it yourself. The study of RAJA-YOGA requires constant practice of concentration of mind and this leads to a point where the person will be able to go beyond laws of nature and will be the master of the whole nature internally as well as externally. It constitutes of eight steps taking the practitioner by and by to the highest state of self realisation.
